YES! Orphan Black is back tonight with season two. And it promises to be testier than ever… in clones and friendships.
Before I fire up the “what I know” thoughts, check out the last official trailer:
Awesome, yeah?! So let’s break it down because there’s a lot going on there and some things we took for granted would be because of season one but hmmm… some things feel shocking because hold up, I thought we established their loyalties already.
For instance, is that Paul not exactly being on Sarah’s side, when I thought for sure that he had proven himself. Also, rumors abound about Felix, and that he’s possibly Sarah’s monitor and all the interviews with Jordan Gavaris is making me highly suspicious of him now. Damn… I really adored him as Sarah’s back-up and loyal to a fault bro. Also, new love interest for Sarah which makes anyone a suspect in my book, but did you see that they’re still not elaborating on Patrick J. Adams role, except to say its heavy and he gets into something way over his head. Geesh, give me more, give me more because I WANT TO KNOW!
As for guest-starring roles this season, Gavaris had a lot to say about how excited he was at seeing new faces:
Michelle Forbes (Chicago Fire, The Killing) — super excited that she’s coming on for a couple episodes near the end of the season. She plays a contemporary of Dr. Leekie. They’ve known each other a long time. I don’t really want to get into it much deeper than that. We have an amazing guest-starring role from Patrick J. Adams (Suits), who didn’t stop tweeting his love for the show and desire to get the job until we gave it to him. We found something really, really fun for him to do. And then Michiel [Huisman] (Nashville, Game of Thrones) gets wrapped up with clones.
Although the one thing I am beyond thrilled for is that Cosima and Delphine are still going strong and working together for a cure. They definitely complete each other in and outside of the lab! And while we meet another clone, posthumously and in flashbacks, since the new season is all about evolution, I have no doubt new characters will have a lot to say about just how many clones are out there.
Orphan Black returns to BBC America tonight, April 19th at 9/8c!
We’re totally stoked for Barely Lethal. Stars of the movie Sophie Turner and Toby Sebastian teach us all how to speak with an American accent.
According to the movie is about a 16-year-old international assassin yearning for a “normal” adolescence fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school. She quickly learns that being popular can be more painful than getting water-boarded.
No release date set as of yet. Kyle Newman, could you let us know that please?
Omigosh… it has finally arrived. The Purple wedding!!! Everyone who wished death upon the throne prepare yourselves.
Who has been waiting for this moment? Okay, maybe I’ve been hoping for some upcommupance upon a bratty boy who thought he was a god. Too bad in Westeros, pride almost always comes before a fall. One where you do not get back up on your feet. Revenge is coming… just not from where you expected it. Oh yeah, but I’ve said too much already. Spoilers, darlings.
Is this video a commercial for Quizno’s?! I mean this video is hilarious, and well done, so yeah… It’s weird, but I think this is an actual commercial.
Seriously though, consider yourself warned Game of Thrones fans… there are actual spoilers in this video, depending on which season you are on. Wild, but true and feel free to mock me, but I laughed at all the short jokes.
Oh how I am so thankful for Yavannauk, precious fan who is dedicated to getting all the amazing photos of Colin Morgan when I cannot and if you click photo credit link above, you can see loads and loads more of photos from the set. So yeah, my chances of crossing the ocean to see him on set right now is impossible, but seeing him thankfully is not — because lookie here at these:
Isn’t he gorgeous… and look at his rising star. We announced yesterday, he was returning to television in the second series/season of The Fall. However, right now, he is on set of the Testament of Youth, a film based upon Vera Brittain’s biography.
Testament of Youth will feature Hayley Atwell, Kit Harington, Emily Watson, Dominic West, Alicia Vikander, Colin Morgan and so many more names you should recognize if you’re an anglophile. It is being produced in conjunction with BBC Films and Heyday Films. The story synopsis on IMDb merely states: A British girl recalls coming of age during World War I.
However, this story is so much more:
Testament of Youth has been acclaimed as a classic for its description of the impact of World War I on the lives of women and the middle-class civilian population of Great Britain. The book shows how the impact extended into the postwar years. It is also considered a classic in feminist literature for its depiction of a woman’s pioneer struggle to forge an independent career in a society only grudgingly tolerant of educated women.
I am so excited about all this news and getting to see the photos coming from this set. Colin Morgan will always remain a favorite of mine from his performance on Doctor Who and Merlin. So much is going on with that Merlin cast too. Have you seen how they’re dispersing all over the silver screen. Woohoo!
