‘Arrow’: More Birds of Prey in the future?

Arrow217BirdsofPrey08

Arrow217BirdsofPrey08Last week, Arrow tackled the Suicide Squad with fantastic results. Now, tonight’s new episode shifts focus to another DC Comics favorite when Arrow takes on the Birds of Prey.

In the comics, Black Canary (Caity Lotz), The Huntress (Jessica De Gouw) and Oracle team up to battle the baddies. That’s some serious girl power.

Arrow will introduce the concept of Birds of Prey, but as always, with their own spin. In this case, Black Canary and Huntress with be squaring off. As enemies.

The episode hasn’t aired yet, but there’s already been talks about bringing the Birds of Prey storyline full circle.

“One of the things we would love to do, at some point, is an episode where you’ve got Black Canary, Felicity and The Huntress working together. That’s on our show bucket list.”

We already have Black Canary and Huntress, so the question is: who’s Oracle? Sounds like Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will fill that role. Eventually.

“She plays a role, but not in the way you’re hoping,” said Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim. “Hopefully we’ll get there–that occurred to us as well but we didn’t have an opportunity to do that in [Episode] 17.”

Arrow is all-new tonight at 8/7c.
